George had been a widower with two children, Musie & Earnest, when Sadie married him. They had two daughters together, Lenora and Alla.
Being a first-rate blacksmith, George sometimes got offers that were too good to turn down, so he and Sadie pulled up stakes rather often, finally ending up in California.
