Historical Wayne County: Brooks and Hovis Garage in Patterson About 1930

For a number of years, the ground floor of this building in Patteron was the home of a garage and blacksmith shop, owned and operated by Eli Brooks (left) and his brother-in-law, Henry Hovis (right). There was a hall on the second floor used for community functionals of all kids. The second floor was since been removed and the ground floor now houses the Patterson Post Office and beauty parlor. This picture was taken about 1930.
